Travel - A trip to Paris

Although there are many types of trips that you can plan for Paris, be taking a package tour, going only to the Disneyland, going for new year etc. etc. However, I would personally settle for a trip for 4 days. If you are reaching in the afternoon or evening, you may have to modify the plan a little bit.
We all know that the main attraction in Paris is Eiffel Tower, but don't rush yourself to see Eiffel Tower, just wait for it. Do not rush yourself while you are in Paris. There is something about the air in Paris that you feel very romantic about the city, so enjoy it. Otherwise here is what you can do while you are in Paris:

Day 1) The first thing you should do in Paris is buy a travel pass for 4 days. The local transport should be good enough for us.  After buying a travel card, first take a train from your nearest station to St. Michelle , thats where Notre dame chruch is situated. There are other stations as well that are near to Notre Dame. To know more about Notre dame visit, Notre dame website.

After visiting the church, either you can enjoy a nice breakfast at restaurants near Notre dame or if you already had you breakfast then you can move ahead. From there take a train to Concorde station. This is the Concorde square

From this square you can take a walk on the Champs-Elysees to Arc de Triomphe and then back. Champ-Elysees is famous for shopping. On the other side of the Concorde is the Tuileries Garden, If you cross the gardens, you will come to Musee du Louvre or simply Louvre museum. Here you can spent as much time as you want. In the louvre you can pick up a Map of the Louvre museum which will show where some of the most famous articles are kept. Although it takes quite a lot of time to see the Louvre completely, so if you are running short on time, go straight to Monalisa. Remember there will be quite a lot of people in front of the Monalisa, so its better to go to Monalisa first. Then you can roam around in Louvre for some more time. Leave Louvre around 4'ish and come out, before going out you can see the inverted pyramids if you like. From here take a train to Champ des Mars. This is the nearest station to Eiffel Tower. You should be in the queue around 5:30'ish so that you are on the top floor by the time it starts to get dark and Paris starts lighting itself up. Then you can spend some time on the top and come down. You can roam around the in adjacent gardens if you want. After that you can take your dinner and go back to your hotel or if you feel like you can take a Paris by Night tour. These tours are run by various travel companies locally, even France Tourism also run these tours. These people usually drop you back to the nearest Metro Station to your hotel.

Day 2: Disneyland situated a little outside the city usually requires a complete day. To go to the Disneyland you have to get to the station Marne-la-vallee. Remember this station is not on the Paris metro line, so you will have to buy another ticket for it. Once you reach Disneyland and buy your entry ticket, you will get a pamphlet detailing today's programs. Disneyland is divided into two parts, Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland. If you are a bunch of young people Walt Disney studios is the first thing you should visit, however, if you have kids then go straight to Disneyland. Both of these places are then again divided into various sub-sections, if I may I call it. All these sections are always playing something. Disneyland is very big and these sections are located at a certain distance. If you want to make the best of your time there, sit down for sometime and checkout today's program, then circle the slots you would like to visit, along with their times. This way when you are finished watching one section you will not have re-plan to get to the next section, otherwise you will spend more time in figuring out and re-planning then actually visiting. Before you go to Disneyland make sure you check the timings for example, it is open for less hours on a sunday then weekdays, then there is a big Disney Character parade and fireworks these usually happen in the weekdays in the evening So be ready to switch this trip to some other day if you happen to be planning it on a Sunday. Once you get back, you can go to Louvre to enjoy the glass pyramids in night or take a walk at the Champs-Elysees, Concorde Square etc. Then you might take a tour Paris By Night again, this time with a different travel agent or a different plan.

Day 3: Another place that takes time in is Chateau de Versailles. this is again situated a little outside Paris on the station Versailles - Rive Gauche. This place is closed on Monday, I think, I remember this because I missed it and would be probably my reason to go back to Paris.

Alternate Day 3 / Day 4: I ended up going to Sacre Coure and La Defense. La Defense is the place where Paris Hilton is located. This is place where the third arch of Paris is build, Grande Arch. Then you can go to the see the first "Statue of Liberty", yes the New York has the biggest one, not the first one. The first one is actually in Paris where it was modeled and then constructed to be gifted. The best way to get to this place is, go to Champ de Mars, Bir Hakeim or Javel  metro station and then take a walk to Statue of Liberty, it on the island near these stations. This day you can also go for some shopping, go to Rue de Rivoli, which has some good shops for souvenir. Although there are quite a number of Gardens in Paris and you can go to these. Remember this is the alternate plan you will only need this on Day 3 if you have nothing to do, otherwise it will be on day 4.

Day 4: This is an alternate plan if something did go wrong as happened with me. This day you can go a place known as Latin Quarters. This place has some very small streets, that offers various types of food. Then there is the tunnel where Princess Diana died, Pont de l'Alma. Since that accident it has become a major tourist place. If you feel tired and dont want to explore places like above, the best would be to take a Hop-on Hop-off bus tour, this bus will tell you a little history about Paris and various places that are there in Paris. Once you have completed the tour on bus you can decide on the places where you want to get down and visit. I think this would suffice for the Day 4.

Problem may be faced: I had a major problem with food, although I am a non-vegetarian but due to Hindu religion sentiment, I have a problem in eating anything other than chicken and fish, beef for instance. If you are a pure vegetarian brace yourself for a big adventure. It is very hard to find Pure vegetarian food. Remember one thing, Cheese Burger in MacDonald is not vegetarian, it is beef burger. So either find a "Subway" nearby or do what one of friend use to do, carry some fruits with you.

Another problem is language, keep a dictionary handy you dont know when you will need it.
