General - Think before your actions

Today while coming to office, I was listening to the radio. The RJ was talking about a news that came in the paper. The news was about a family who was stuck on expressway for three hours, because they had run out of fuel and there was no re-fuelling station on the expressway. the RJ was saying that what kind of people are there who do not check fuel when they leave for family outing and she was using all these phrases like fool, irresponsible and many more.

All this while I was thinking, what sort of this RJ is neither she was there on the road nor was she accompanying those persons who were stuck on the road for three hours. I mean she dont even know what might be the family's problem that they run out of fuel. They may be coming from far distance and may have overlooked the obvious, they might have mis-judged the quantity of fuel or God know's what may be there problem.

My point is agreed, it was the family's mistake to not check the fuel. What even that does not call for a public humiliation of the entire family. I can bet if she herself had been in the same problem, she may have a filed a case against the expressway company.

Another point, all these expressway coming up in India charges a hefty amount for their usage, when they simply lack the basic services, I mean you need to have a re-fueling station. For example lets say I am coming from Dehradun and wants to go to Agra, As soon as he hits Express way, I think he wont have enough fuel to get through to Agra, and neither does he have any information that there is not re-fuelling station on the expressway. Now he will be stuck on the expressway for sometime and hence the need for a re-fuelling station.

So just try to think about other person's position before you comment.
