TV - Bigg Boss Season 5 - Day 12

In his attempt to create a rift between Raaga and other housemates, Bigg Boss has assigned the secretive task to Raaga, to convince everybody that Mandeep is not a good captain and we shall call for another election. Raaga does try with one or two housemates, but eventually his character fails to achieve any result. She is not that kind of person. In fact she is the only housemate who has not participated in any controversy. With this Bigg Boss has achieved two things, first of all it does not matter whether Raaga succeed or not, she will get some screen space, which she is missing and is trying to get desperately. Second, if she succeed then surely there will be fights in the house. If she doesn't there is always a punishment to take care of that in the next week.

Apart from this, we had the shocker of this week, with PM breaking the broom and threatening Shonali and Mahek. I think this was nothing but a way to generate some TRP's. Let see how far does she goes with this tactic.

Apart from that, there was not much to think about. Bigg boss gave a review of weekly task, which was as expected because rather than concentrating on the work at hand everybody was more concerned about complaining about each other, especially PB. I dont understand what is her problem, she is big time loser man.

TV - Bigg Boss Season 5 - Day 11

I think Amar was sent to make the PB and Juhi 's group more evident. He was able to achieve this to certain extent in this episode when he picks up a fight with Juhi. Although he has a valid point but alas, that loud PB and Juhi didnt let him say and made a small joke into a big fight.

It was pretty much clear that PB is brainwashing Juhi and Shonali. Good that Amar gave them a piece of his mind. I dont understand why Juhi was talking about class when she herself has no class. Then this fight was extended when PM tried to console Juhi. PB is such a horrible person, she dont even let others talk. She always complains about PM not being friendly when she does not allow her to get friendly with anybody.

Anyway, this fight had made one thing clear, Mandeep is going to be the next captain. The only thing remain to seen was the vote difference and mind you, it was a great surprise when the fight went to the Last vote. This election again create a rift between Mahek and the Pooja Bedi group, which PB just like a good boss was trying to solve later on. I was surprised to see her language and dominance, the way she made every hug each other. One thing is quiet sure Mahek is the weak link number 1 in this group, she will separate soon. Laxmi can change anytime, i dont think that it will be a group. However, until there is a second group formed nobody is going to nominate these three. We need something extra from Bigg Boss.

TV - Bigg Boss Season 5 - Day 10

Amar has announced his entry today. He was asked by Bigg Boss to nominated two persons for the post of Captain. Initially, everybody was proposing their own name and then suddenly everybody retracted. As shown in the episode this was because they think it is too early to be captain as being the captain of the house saves you from nomination, so they want to use this option later on when there are less contestants.

Lets be frank, everybody knew that Amar will definitely propose his name, the question was only about the second candidate. Here is the situation:

• Shakti is lobbying for his candidate Vida with Shardha and Mandeep. This seems to be emerging gang. Even PB, Juhi and everybody else will vote for her. He will end up on the loosing end.
• Juhi, PB, Shonali and Mahek wants candidates to be PB / Mahek. If anybody is nominated, obviously this Gang will win heads down. Anyone from this gang needs to break only three votes, clearly Lakhsmi and Raaga will vote in this group. getting another vote will be easy. Again end up on the losing end.
• Everybody clearly says Lakshmi is not Captain types as she is too loud and Raageshwari is too soft, true enough. However, if nominated they will clearly win against Amar. (See above point)
• What does it leave us with PM and Gulabo. Amar knows if he nominates PM, she will not only get any vote but also gets angry for not getting votes. However, he has all the chance to be the Captain. This will good for this week but not for the coming weeks. Gulabo does not seem to be very interested in the job and she was nominated for eviction as well and seems to be already evicted, so why bother.

So what does he do, he nominates himself and Mandeep. Reason, first the divide in vote bank by getting everybody to think about the candidates. Even if Mandeep wins, he will still have another chance of being nominated for the captain in the coming weeks. This seemed to be a safe bet. Quiet a calculation.

I did not analyse this while I was watching the show, I only  understood this much later. Another hidden agenda with this election is that Mandeep will get more into the grove as was seen during nomination discussions.

Keep Watching, I expect this election and eviction will create some fireworks.

TV - Bigg Boss Season 5 - Day 9

It was the nomination day, and so again Pooja Mishra is nominated.
If housemates think that they will evict him by nominating again I think they are mistaken. Currently, she is the only one providing the TRP's and get maximum screen time, so it is not going to be easy.
This time she has been pitched against Gulabo Sapera. As per me, I think Gulabo will be out, as we have already predicted her to be providing a Guest Apperance only.

Now, coming to our thought of whether Bigg Boss is pre-planned / fixed was quiet evident in this episode. Quiet frankly speaking, today the nominations would have been PM and Mandeep, since they were the two to get maximum votes. Wait there is a twist, Bigg Boss announces top three names and asks the captain to save any one of them. As expected he saves Mandeep and we have our next eviction ready for Gulabo Sapera.

TV - Bigg Boss Season 5 - Day 8

Finally, the Game is ON. Pooja Misra is going nowhere and now that new Guest, Amar Upadhay, has also joined her, she is going to get strong from here. I frankly believe that Amar has been introduced in order to create some friction between other participants which is missing.

Currently there are only two main groups, Pooja and Pooja. Until there will be smaller stories and groups it is not going to be that bitchy.

Amar has been particularly instructed to make sure Pooja Misra expands her group. Look currently there are only two people who are getting TRP's for the show, Shakti and Pooja Misra. One by entertainment and other by temper / drama. If one of them is evicted, the show will remain nothing. So, in order to save her, Amar has been given the task to create a group / sympathy for Pooja Misra. That would mean providing equal platform for the fights. Very soon we will see people switching loyalties.

Bigg Boss will only be going in one direction from here and that would be towards interesting only.

TV - Bigg Boss Season 5 - Week 1

Since there was not much happening apart from the fact that everybody was turning against Pooja Misra, I decided to write the whole week in one post.

Incidentally, Pooja Misra has been made the villain of the house. However, my money is still on Pooja Bedi to play the villain role.

Shakti Kapoor is playing the role of Entertainer / Listener as expected.
Juhi / Raaga did try to play the peacemaker but eventually turned against Pooja Misra.

So currently the groups in the house are :

1) Pooja Misra, Mandeep
2) Shakti Kapoor
3) Rest all lead by Pooja Bedi

As expected Nihita has been evicted.  My guess is next week Gulabo Sapera will be evicted.
One thing is for sure Pooja Misra is going to stay for longer than expected. 

TV - Bigg Boss Season 5 - Day 2

Day 2 was not what I had anticipated, I was expecting some big fight between Pooja Misra and Nihita Biswas. Anyways, apart from the useless tasks of cycling the "Tatoo", there was not much drama. Although Shakti Kapoor is living upto his character of Entertainer, giving both the ladies to act in certain ways to get public sympathy. If you will analyse Day 2, you will see the cameras were actually following Shakti Kapoor. I can tell this man is going to create some controversies very soon, but only entertaining types.

Lets hope, Bigg Boss gets a little more verbal very soon. 

Pooja Misra, bring out the Dolly Bindra in you.

TV - Bigg Boss Season 5 - Day 1

It was quiet a day in the Bigg Boss house, Bigg Boss has already started his game of turning contestants against each other, by first not sending the Pooja Misra's clothing because she was nominated by one of the others. This did not spark much of the fight, so he decided to have a nomination, what a great idea.

Anyway, we have a different view about all this and looks like most of things are turning the way we want.

Shakti Kapoor is trying to be the Entertainer just like Vindu Dara Singh.
Pooja Bedi will be the most hated girl very soon.
Nihita / Gulabi Sapera being the Guest Appearance characters.

So far so good. If it indeed came close to what we had predicted the story would be then it would Juhi Parmar, Monica Bedi and Shakti Kapoor staying till the end. This is too early to say anything like this, as the roles keep changing as the show goes on. On changing roles, I think Pooja Misra will be leaving earlier then Vida, so that would make Vida playing Pooja Misra's role. I think Vida will stay longer until KRK comes in, if he is indeed going to enter. KRK has disclosed on twitter that he will be entering the Bigg Boss house. Anyways, now that Nihita and Pooja Misra (PM) are nominated, I think Nihita will be the first one to be evicted on this Friday.

This is the beauty of guessing the story. Lets see what next Bigg Boss has in store for us.

TV - Big Boss Season 5 - Introduction

I have been watching Big Boss from season 3, that’s right when Amitabh Bachchan started to host and I found it so intoxicating that now I just wait for the new season to start.

Lots have already been said about Big Boss, whether it is fixed or pre-planned or any other such thing. To tell you the truth I believe all of this, but what I don’t understand is what the problem is even if it is pre-planned.

 Consider this when we go to watch a movie or watch a soap, do we not enjoy it or do we not have the fun. All these serials are well written or pre-planned as you call them, but still we have all the fun that we can, then what is the problem with Big Boss being well written. Just like any other script it too has characters from all walks of life playing different kind of roles.

You may argue that the problem with Big Boss being pre-planned is why we have to vote to save somebody from eviction. Consider this; you are watching a well written soap, one of the important characters meets an accident and is hospitalized. The doctor explains that he has had serious injury and may not recover. However, the actual situation may be explained in a week’s time. Now, at this point this day’s episode is finished.

What if all soap producers, starts asking a question at this juncture on each Monday to be replied till Thursday night. Will we not be ready to send SMS / call them to register our answer? The point here is even the soap is pre-planned and well written and only the producers know the next step but still we participate. Same is the case with Big Boss, may be they know may be they don’t, but you have the fun is getting your answer right.

I am not judging whether they are pre-planned or not, all I am saying is don’t miss the fun till it lasts.

Based on above theory I have put a list of Big Boss house inmates and tried to put a list of their probable role that they will be playing in the house. Anybody who is supposed to be staying less than three weeks is considered to be Guest Appearance or Item Girl, by which time most of the inmates will align themselves with their role.

What I think the storyline for this season would be two Leading Ladies fighting for the top prize, one playing the actress and the other one playing the vamp. One of the ladies will be playing the role of a peacemaker and try to reconcile both of them. One being the ladies will be playing the Gossip Queen, adding fuel to fire. Shakti Kapoor will play the role of a Entertainer / Listener, very similar to what Vindu Dara Singh played only difference being Shakti is not going to win. Rest of the ladies will either play the role of Guest / Item numbers  and Gang members of the Leading Ladies.
