Cricket - It May be all over for India?

Today may be the end for India in the 2012 T20 world cup, They have themselves to blame for this situation.   A loss against Australia kind of put them in a tight situation and the Pakistan win against Australia, that too by a margin of 32 runs. If this was not sufficient India has been put to bat by SA after winning the toss, that means they will have to win by a margin of atleast 31 runs by bowling second. This would mean they would have to show their bowling strength, which by the way is their weakest link. So what are the hopes for India:

1) Sehwag alone can make it a one sided game, if he can bat for 10-15 overs.
2) South Africa can make a fool of themselves.
3) If India team thinks that they are playing against Pakistan to reach the next stage then it will be easier to beat SA.

Whatever is the outcome or whichever way India wins, the fact is whole of India will be glued to their TV sets and hoping they can knock Pakistan out one more time.

Cricket - ICC World T20 - Drama Begins !!!!

Today the 2012 World Twenty20 will start in Sri Lanka. In the opening match Sri Lanka will be playing against Zimbabwe. Although looking at the warm up matches I don't think Zimbabwe poses any threat to Sri Lanka, the only thing Sri Lanka needs to be worried about is they don't loose it themselves as Zimbabwe cannot be taken for granted, specially considering the fact that once they had beaten Australia in T20.

Anyways. Since by the time I start writing this Sri Lanka had already started batting and were 70/1 in 9 overs, I think they should be able to score around 210 (at the max) unless somebody really gets out of hands. From there they should be able to win by a margin of at least 70 runs.

The reality remains to be seen. Visit back for further updates and results.

Ok Guys, the World cup has kicked off with the warm up matches. Sept. 13 saw Ireland vs Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka vs. WI. West Indies looked a team that may not be able to take the burden of being favourite and Ireland seems like a team that is going to create some type of upset, if not upset then atleast going win some hearts just like they have done till now. Let me predict one thing, Ireland is one team to watch for they will be regular on the cricketing calendars very soon. Anyway, let us concentrate on the coming up world cup.
