Cricket - Which team Stands Where to win the World Cup

Finally the moment has arrived, the world cup will be starting on 18th Sept. in Sri Lanka. The opening match is going to be played between Sri Lanka vs. Zimbabwe. Its time to start predicting, with emotions and with a thought, lets analyse who can win this world cup.

Stephen Fleming thinks West Indies is favorite to win this World Cup, same is the feeling of Sangakara. Sangakara thinks that West Indies will be a side to watch in this World Cup, however Sri Lanka is the favorite in this World Cup, but then he always thinks the same for Sri Lanka. Australian have never liked this format, but then it may be the reason that they are not very good in it. But this might change this World Cup.

South Africa always have been a consistent side. It still remains to be seen whether they can get away from the tag of being Chokers.

India they always start as one of the favorite and being this World Cup as the comeback has already been tagged as the comeback World Cup of Yuvraj Singh. It might just prove enough to charge them up.

Pakistan has always been an unpredictable side and has a team to win any match under any circumstances.

New Zealand, although there recent form has been not very good. They have lost both the test matches in India. At the time of writing this, the 20-20 match was not yet played. Even then NZL is a team that has the capacity to beat any team in the World.

England, they look a bit depleted with the absence of KP, it still remains to be seen whether they can come out of this or not.

Rest four team Ireland, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, It will be over expecting them to win the World Cup, however, they can definitely do damage to some of the teams World Cup dreams. Bangladesh is in the Group D with Pakistan and New Zealand, they can definitely beat both of these teams. Similarly, Ireland is in the Group B along with Australia and West Indies, I dont think they can beat them but it will be foolish to underestimate them. Zimbabwe is in Group C with SL and South Africa, both these teams are well prepared and will be very tough for Zimbabwe to beat them. Afghanistan is in the Group A with India and England, again Afghanistan may be able to produce an upset here against England.
