Travel - A trip to Neemrana Fort Palace

Neemrana is a palace cum resort near Delhi. I am not going to get into the history of Neemrana Fort as you can read the same on Wiki and other sites, I am going to try and present my own experience there.

Neemara is situated on the Delhi Jaipur road around 120 kms from Delhi. It is situated between Shahjahnpur and Behror on the Delhi Jaipur Higway. Once you leave the NH8 you will have to travel through the Neemrana village. The fort is situated on a hill, the road to the hill is not one of the great road however it was drivable when I visited the place. There are a few things to remember before you leave the village on the hill road.

• There is no medicine shop near Neemrana so if you are travelling with Kids make sure you have some medicines with you. Although, Neemrana staff is very helpful when it comes to taking care of their guests . They do have all the things required for first-aid, however, if you only use certain kind of medicines it is advisable to carry them with you.
• There are no cigarette shops near Neemrana Fort, although you will get some of the international brands available there but again it depends if somebody is going down to the village they can get it for you.
• Although there is a very good bar in the Neemrana Fort, but it advisable to carry some liquor with you, if you are travelling in a group. The staff is very helpful and they will get you all the other things that you need like water, soda etc. 
• The only food option available there is the Neemrana Fort Restaurant and it is advisable to check the price and plan accordingly. 

Neemrana is very good for one trip and relaxation as it has all the qualities required for relaxing. It is the only visible building around that area. So it will provide you great feeling of loneliness. Apart from that there is a swimming pool, spas and lot of indoor games available to spend "Quality" time with your family. Apart from these if you are interested in some X-Sport then there is Zip Fox Fly and balloon ride available.

If you are looking for a possible itenary then please use the below one for your reference, I left Noida around 11:00 A.M. It took us around one and half hour to come out of the city and hit the NH8 after Gurgaon Toll Plaza After that it took another two hours to reach Neemrana. We reached Neemrana around 3:00 P.M. After checking-in and taking some refreshments and rest, we went for a quick swim. Around 4:30 we had our evening tea and went to see the palace. It is a very big Fort and is built on hill with very steep stairs around one hour walk took all our energy. We took bath and got ready to come down, near restaurant there we played some indoor games like chess and caram.

We were booked in the "Gagan Mahal" room which has a private terrace. We requested the staff to arrange for two beddings on the terrace so that we can lie down and enjoy the clear sky on top. The staff was very generous to oblige. It was amazing, we can actually see a lot constellation there and enjoy the starry night, which is not possible in the hush hush of a city life.

Next morning we left back to the life we had forgotten for just one day. Overall it was a great experience and a very relaxing one as well. Hope your stay will be good and relaxing one as well.
