Cricket - ICC Twenty20 World Cup Warm up Matches - Day 5

Today September 17th, there will be five matches that are going to be played, and the schedule is as follows:

Match 1: Australia vs. England
Match 2: Bangladesh vs. Ireland
Match 3: NZL vs. South Africa
Match 4: Afghanistan vs. West Indies
Match 5: India vs. Pakistan

Here is the pre-match analysis or prediction if you would like to call:

Australia vs. England

Australia has beaten NZL in their first warm up match. England being their arch rivals, I would assume Aus will raise their game even further. The only thing that needs to be seen in this match is, how badly can England loose.

Bangladesh vs. Ireland
Although Bangladesh did beat Zimbabwe in their first warm up match. But then Ireland has also beaten Zimbabwe. Also, Ireland is a bit tricky customer. There seems to be better prepared then Zimbabwe. This match may end up going to the wire. Also, generally Ireland is high on confidence.

NZL vs. South Africa
This is South Africa's one and only warm up match . As professional they are I think they should be playing their first XI, that will eventually play in the round stage. They might be less on match practice but I don't think they should face any problems from the NZL side, they should be able to win comfortably.

Afghanistan vs. West Indies
Frankly speaking I think West Indies is going to  thrash Afghanistan. I think there plenty of reasons for that, first and the foremost reason is that they have just lost of Sri Lanka, so they would like to pass a message or two here to the opponent teams here.

India vs. Pakistan
I think this will be their only chance to meet in this world cup and everybody wants to encash this match. This will be telecast live on the TV's irrespective of being it just a warm up. I remember in 2009, they played a warm up in England and the stadium was full. It was scheduled on a weekend, telecast on TV and most importantly people were paying in black to get into the stadium. Anyways, considering the way these two teams play, both of them are unpredictable. However, if form and history has anything to go by. Then India has just beaten Sri Lanka and Pakistan has just been thrashed by Aus in Dubai. As far as history goes, Pakistan has never beaten India in a world cup match. Lets wait and watch if they can change this in today's match.
