Yesterday I went on a trip to Salasar Dham and Khatu Shayam Ji by road. We were five people and left at 5:30 in the morning. On our way to Salasar we stopped at one of the local restaurant (dhaba) for breakfast / snacks. The road/route we took was: Noida - Bhiwadi - Rewari - Narnaul - Chirawa- Jhunjhunu Lakshmangarh - Salasar.
The route was fine apart from some stretch between Narnaul to Chirawa. We reached Salasar around 1:30 and it took us around 2 hrs to pay the offerings or do the darshan. After that we went to Khatu Shayam Ji, this is another religious destination near Salasar. The route taken was Salasar - Sikar- Khatu Shayam ji. It took us another hour for the darshan. Then we left from there for back to Delhi.
The return route was Khatu Shayam Ji - Ringas - Shri Madhopur - Shahpura - Delhi.
It took us around 21 hrs for the complete trip. It was a hectic journey.
Lessons learnt:
1. Don't try to cover these two destinations in one day trip. Do a night stay at one of these places.
2. Night stay can actually help you to visit other religious places near these.
3. Try to find out the rush time, so that you do not get stuck in the rush.
